The Walking Dead season 10 spoilers: Daryl Dixon to exit show after cast change?

The Walking Dead viewers saw the exit of Morgan (played by Lennie James) some seasons ago when he decided to move on from Georgia.

This decision ultimately catapulted him into Fear the Walking Dead’s narrative, and placed him in a position of power as he took on the group as his own.

Morgan has been like a changed man in his new position on the show, and was recently joined by Dwight (Austin Amelio).

Dwight left Georgia with the mission of finding Sherry (Christine Evangelista) after she left Atlanta’s rough scenario.

Dwight has already made himself feel at home by joining in with the group’s only real bonding activity: Killing walkers.

But it seems Dwight actor Austin is already eager to see yet another character from The Walking Dead jump between shows.

Speaking at a talk with the rest of the Fear the Walking Dead cast to promote the current season, Austin was asked who else he would like to see brought over to the second show.

As reported by Cinema Blend, someone in the audience suggested Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) – but Austin said although he loves Jeffrey, he wants Negan out.

He did go on to announced: “Maybe Daryl [Norman Reedus]. It’d be fun, mix it up a little bit.”

Daryl has been on The Walking Dead since season one, and has become a mainstay in the show.

Although his character didn’t exist in the comic books, he has gone on to star in a number of video games and spin-off novels.

Daryl’s popularity has almost guaranteed his survival through a number of difficult situations – but would that protection remain if he were to change shows?

Fear the Walking Dead is a very different beast to the mainline show – so would Daryl still remain a threat to those to oppose him on unchartered territory?

Meanwhile, in the comic books, the cover of the next issue has been revealed, showing the death of a character.

Illustrator for the comic book franchise Charlie Adlard posted about the new issue on his Twitter account, writing: “The Swordsman Strikes.

“It’s the end of the line… FOR SOMEONE.”

Many fans of the comic book have assumed the fatally wounded character is in fact Negan – who has been around in the comic book for some time now.

Replying to the tease, one fan wrote: “I hope thats not Negan. Shouldn’t repeat worst Gimple’s trick from season eight when he brought Morales back and then killed him.”

Another said: “Yeah that better not be Negan. We get it no one’s safe and Rick was gonna go but s**t, Negan is only other character people really f**k with (surprisingly) including myself lol.”

The Walking Dead will return to AMC later this year.
