Love Island: ‘Get her out’ Fans demand Lucie Donlan booted out over shock remark

Love Island returned to television screens tonight as the nation sat down to find out which islander was the next to be dumped.

Ahead of the recoupling, in which the boys held the power, fans tuned in to see everyone discuss the possible outcome and those watching at home saw Anton pull Lucie to one side for a chat to find out what her intentions were if she stayed in the villa.

Having originally been coupled up with Joe Garratt since the first week, the pair faced trouble when he was dumped from the island following a public vote, leaving her vulnerable and single.

But it seems she got over this heartbreak pretty quickly as she told Anton her doubts about Joe being the one for her and how she should keep her options open for the future.

Anton began: “If you’re just here to float, that’s pointless you may as well go home to Joe.”

“I agree,” Lucie clarified as he continued: “What I need to know is, are you open to finding someone else?”

“Joe is a proper city party boy and I am the complete opposite. But I liked him. He liked me. And that’s what it was,” Lucie said.

“But imagine if I left here and that surfer guy walks through the door, I would be absolutely gutted and I would be open to get to know him.

“And I would feel guilty as hell for saying it, because I do like Joe, but this is what I’ve come here for,” she explained.

Viewers were quick to jump to Twitter to discuss the u-turn the surfer had made and demand she leave the villa.

One said: “Sorry was Lucie and Joe not half boyfriend and girlfriend? Or did I imagine that? #LoveIsland.”

Another added: “Please someone explain to me what Lucie is doing here?!!?” while another remarked: “Lucie forgot about Joe, real quick #LoveIsland.”

“Lucie get out! Your Joe is waiting for you!! #LoveIsland,” a four commented.

“At first you wanted to go home and now you don’t. joe don’t wait on Lucie. I’m just saying #LoveIsland,” someone stated.

Another tweet read: “Wow Lucie is such a game player. Get her out #LoveIsland.”

As for what else happened in the episode, Yewande Biala was the next to leave the reality dating show.

Although she was coupled with Danny Williams, she lost the model to newcomer Arabella Chi following a tense few days.

And understandably she wasn’t too happy to have been dumped.

Leaving the fire pit to go and gather her belongings, viewers saw her fume to the other girls: “How f**king dare he. How dare he.”

Even though Danny attempted to apologise for his decision, Yewande’s last words were “what goes around comes around”. Does this mean she sees through Danny and Arabella’s relationship?

Love Island airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV.
