PS4 Surprise UPDATE: Download these FREE PlayStation game bonuses TODAY

New PS4 games are added to the PlayStation Store every week, and they sometimes come with exclusive demos, trials, or bonuses.

Some of these are tied to the PlayStation Plus membership, while others are released for the sole purpose of letting gamers playtest a new title.

And for anyone looking for a new demo to try out this weekend, the PS Store has plenty of choices to choose from.

PS4 gamers might notice that there haven’t been any new trials released this week, but it’s still worth checking the latest releases.

This includes the Massira demo from Frost Monkey Games, which launched earlier in 2019 and has received top reviews on the PSN.

Weighing in at less than a 1GB to download, this new puzzle adventure game has an age rating of 7+.

The full version of the game has a much more average review rating on Metacritic, making this trial a perfect way of testing it out before you decide to buy.

It should be noted that the Massira demo only includes the first level of the complete game, introducing the protagonists and the reason for their trip.

Here’s more about the story and setting of the game from the official product page: “Massira is a story-driven, puzzle adventure game with a “low poly” style, where you will experience an unforgettable adventure in the shoes of a girl and her grandmother, who make a trip from Syria to Europe, all seen through the eyes of the little one.

“Oriented to a sensitive audience, with a taste for good stories, you can face reality while enjoying yourself as a child again thanks to its artistic style.

“With this project, we hope to awaken the player’s empathy for the hardship that refugees are currently experiencing.”

And if puzzle games aren’t your thing, there are plenty of alternative games available to try for free this weekend.

On the demo side, the most recent additions to the PS4 library include Brawlout, Attack on Titan 2 and Everybody’s Golf for PSVR.

If you were looking for something a little bigger, the bad news is that there aren’t any major trials going on.

Samurai Shodown just got a new demo released that can be played on the PS4, but it probably won’t be available for most gamers.

This new trial of the upcoming PlayStation Store release is currently limited to Japan.

The good news is that if you do have the right regional account, you can download the game without the need of a PS Plus membership.

This new demo will be available to download until July 7 and includes new characters to try out.

And even if you can’t play the new demo this weekend, June 25 has been announced as the final release date for the game.

“After nearly ten years out of the spotlight, Samurai Showdown is back with a vengeance,” the official game description reads.

“Developed by the team behind the critically acclaimed KING OF FIGHTERS XIV, thirteen beloved fighters return, along with three new, to do battle on this legendary stage!

“The same tense, high-damage single strike battles that the series is known for, new, cinematic art style and updated fight mechanics bring each battle to life in a variety of online and offline modes.

“Take on the top players in the world through a revolutionary AI system that learns player patterns and creates “Ghost” clones for you to take on in head-to-head battles.”

Like in the past, there’s a good chance that the region-locked demo for Samurai Showdown will be released in Europe at a later date in 2019.

Another PS4 bonus currently available includes being able to beta test the upcoming Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World.

This requires that you have a copy of the base game and that you also have an active PS Plus subscription.
