Meghan Markle: Inside the home the Duchess and Prince Harry are raising Archie Harrison

Meghan Markle has been part of the Royal Family since she married the Queen’s grandson, Prince Harry, on 19 May 2018. The couple had their nuptials at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle last year and they announced they were expecting their first child shortly after. As baby preparations got underway, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage where they could have more privacy. Their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born on 6 May 2019 and Meghan is thought to have been spending a lot of time bonding with her son inside their Windsor home.

What is Frogmore cottage like inside?

Frogmore Cottage is a Grade-II listed building made up of five separate housing units.

The house went through extensive £3 million renovations before the royals moved in and they are thought to have had a huge influence over what changes were made.

During the renovations, the cottage got an additional ten bedrooms, a new nursery and space for a gym and yoga.

Official plans revealed new staircases, fireplaces and a “floating floor” were all also added to the property.

The floor is believed to be used in a sports room and linked to Meghan’s love of yoga.

The home was also thought to get a new state-of-art nursery for the royal baby.

Before the birth, it is believed the couple didn’t find out the gender of their child and decided to decorate the room with this in mind.

The Duchess ditched traditional pink and blue baby colours to go for a modern decor, royal expert Katie Nicholl – who has written several books on the British Royal Family – told ET.

“Apparently, it’s going to be a monochrome palette – whites and greys, I’m told, will be the colour theme for baby Sussex’s nursery,” Katie told ET.

The new nursery was also reported to be painted in a eco-friendly vegan paint and to be kitted out with a top security system.

The security system includes cameras, security windows and a stereo system.

Meghan is believed to have created a mood board specifically for the nursery.

The Duchess of Sussex has only be seen once since first showing her newborn to the world and a look at astrology could reveal she is finding life “chaotic” as a new mum.

A look at the astrology of Archie shows he is likely to have a lot of discipline and calm in him, an expert revealed.

It it thought he will pick up on this trait from his grandmother, Doria Ragland, 62.
