Lucy Alexander: ‘I’m offended’ Homes Under The Hammer star hits back at guest after snub

Lucy Alexander, 48, spoke out in view of her 25,000 Twitter followers this afternoon after spotting a surprising comment from one of the house hunters she worked with on Channel 4 show Best of Both Worlds. The former Homes Under The Hammer host spotted the remark from the guest after his other half Ayden shared a clip of the episode on the micro-blogging site. The initial tweet read: “Two years ago today @LucyAlexanderTV helped me and @peteduthie house hunt in Best Of Both Worlds. We weren’t quite ready for the suburbs back then, but look at us now!” Addressing the couple in her response, Lucy replied: “You were great on that show! Xx”

Unfortunately, Ayden’s partner Pete, who appeared alongside her on the property series admitted he still hadn’t watched the episode.

Retweeting the video, he sheepishly added: “I should probably watch this…”

Lucy was quick to hit back at Pete after his revelation as she admitted: “I’m offended!!”

Luckily, the former house hunter had a good excuse for avoiding the show.

He wrote back to the presenter: “I just know I’d cringe too much watching myself!”

The star seemed to understand Pete’s dilemma as she replied: “Lol… I know mate. I feel same way #doireallysoundlikethat.”

Elsewhere, Lucy took to Twitter to criticise accessibility options for disabled people in London.

The issue is close to the property expert’s heart as her daughter Kitty has been in a wheelchair for the past nine years.

The teenager suffered from Transverse Myelitis, which caused her immune system to attack her spinal cord.

Lucy addressed the problem in response to someone she follows on the social media platform, who tweeted: “Having a b*****d sprained ankle has made me realise just how little of @tfl is truly ‘step-free’. Where lifts exist at all there are often long walks between them (it’s three lifts & a LOT of walking to get to the Central Line at TCR for example.) It’s exhausting.”

She continued: “‘Step-free’ in most cases seems to just mean ‘no stairs’; hardly ever does it mean you can get from the street to the platform with minimal walking.”

The TV personality replied to the post and acknowledged how difficult it can be for her daughter to move around the city.

She wrote back to the Twitter user: “My daughter is a wheelchair user, I know how rubbish LONDON is for accessibility Hugh! Good luck.”

Kitty is still able to drive a car and the mum-of-two recently revealed she was her “teenage taxi”.

The star tweeted about finally getting her “payback”.

She explained: “There is nothing better than saying to the teenager ‘can drop me at the station’?

“‘Ohhh and can you pick me up too’… ‘might be late’? #payback #teenagetaxi #investmentpayingoff.”
