Coronation Street spoilers: David Platt and Shona Ramsey split as prison sentence looms?

Coronation Street’s Shona Ramsay (played by Julia Goulding) and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) have only just settled their differences.

They have had a testing time on the soap following from the devastation caused by pesky Natalie Watkins (Cassie Bradley) and her attempts at seducing David.

Although they made it over that hurdle, there’s still plenty more tests on the horizon for them as Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) evil ways continue.

Now, it has been suggested David will be sent to prison for stealing Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) money, despite it actually being his  brother who did it.

In the coming weeks, Nick’s partner-in-crime Natalie goes missing, and it looks as if both boys could be heading for prison.

Shona becomes particularly concerned for David, as it seems he doesn’t have any hope of getting out of this one.

Natalie is the only one who can confirm Nick acted alone, but with her disappeared, what hope does David have?

What’s more, Nick seems pretty pleased with the thought of David going to down as well to help his own sentence reduced.

The court date gets closer and Shona seems beside herself at the thought of her fiancé being banged up.

David decides to take drastic action and pulls his wedding forward.

Ever the realist, Gail Platt (Helen Worth) reminds him he could still be locked up before the new wedding date.

However, David thinks he will be safe, not really realising he is alone in the trial.

Will Shona be able to cope with her lover in jail? Will their relationship crack as the thought of prison becomes too much?

They might not be the only couple on the rocks as Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson) and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien)’s love could be tested.

Samuel recently told Digital Spy about Adam’s previous relationships and his bad track record could leave him devastated.

When quizzed on whether Adam is capable of a serious relationship, the actor was seemingly unsure.

Samuel explained: “I think Sarah is going to be the closest to that. I think he would like to make it serious.

“If the audience digs it, then it might happen. I don’t think he’s every had anything serious.”

Will the couple break up as Adam is doomed to have a loving relationship?

Coronation Street continues tomorrow on 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
