ASDA, Waitrose and Iceland: Urgent recall issued over allergy risk – full list of items

Urgent recall warnings are not often issued but are something that should be taken very seriously. Recently, customers who have been shopping in ASDA, Waitrose and Iceland are being urged to double check their purchases. Food products from these stores have been recalled amid allergy fears as they contain ingredients not listed on the packaging. Two products have milk content not listed which could be very dangerous for those who have an allergy or intolerance.

Yorkshire Provender Rustic Vegetable Broth with Kale, Lentils & Quinoa Soup

This product is sold in both ASDA and Waitrose and is being recalled as it contains milk not mentioned on the ingredient list.

The Food Standards Agency wrote on it’s website: “The pot contains a Pea Soup containing milk which is not mentioned on the label.

“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”

What’s more, the label on the soup claims it is suitable for vegans, but the milk content means this is not the case.

The affected pack is the 600g tub of soup with the use by date of 8 July 2019.

No other Yorkshire Provender products are known to be affected.

Shazans 10 Bite Size Punjabi Vegetable Samosas

Another product has been recalled as it also contains milk which is not listed on the label.

The vegetable samosa’s affected are available to buy at ASDA and Iceland and point of sale notices have been put in stores to make customers aware.
