Stacey Solomon baby: Star shares BIG moment with Rex as 'gutted' Joe Swash misses out

Stacey Solomon, 29, has shared another adorable snap of her baby son Rex as he smiled for the very first time today. The Loose Women star posted a photo of her son’s big milestone on Instagram in view of her one million followers. The picture showed Rex grinning while Stacey tenderly planted a kiss on his forehead. She captioned the photo: “They say he’s got windy smiles, I say he’s having happy thoughts

“This is probably my favourite picture ever.

“I keep looking at it and smiling. I’ll be using this to get me through the night feeds from now on!”

However, the mum-of-three’s joy unfortunately couldn’t be shared with her other half Joe Swash, 37.

After spotting the snap, the former EastEnders actor re-posted it on his Instagram page and revealed to his 890,000 followers why he was “gutted” to miss out on the moment.

He wrote: “How is my luck? I Had 2 go away for work and Rex has his first smile gutted.”

Luckily, Joe’s fans were on hand to reassure the disappointed star.

One wrote: “It’s just wind until your home then it’s a proper smile.”

Another added: “You might not have seen it, but it’s all yours.”

A third responded: “You probably would have missed it even if you were there! My little boy rolled over for the first time recently while I was in the kitchen.”

A fourth agreed: “He’s smiling at you daddy xxx.”

Joe is currently away on a Disney cruise in Italy with This Morning favourite Alison Hammond, 44.

In his absence, Stacey has been posting regular updates of her experiences with their son.

Yesterday, the former X Factor contestant spent time bonding with Rex on her own and took him out for a walk in the woods.

Writing about the mother and son day out on Instagram, she recalled: “We did it!!!! Yaaaay! Joe left for a week away working this morning, then the boys went off to their daddy’s for the weekend.

“So my mummy came over and dragged me out for an evening stroll! I’m so glad she did.

“I love the woods. I forgot how good they smell. That was just the best. Everyone was right, I am now thinking I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner.”

Stacey concluded: “But actually I’m so glad that we’ve been able to stay lost in our own world for the last 4 weeks and now I am excited to take Rex on adventures outside of our front room.”
