Lucy Mecklenburgh revealed she and her boyfriend Ryan Thomas are engaged in view of her 1.4 million Instagram followers this afternoon. The former Only Way Is Essex regular shared a snap of their very happy moment, during a holiday to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The 27-year-old beauty was seen leaning into the former Coronation Street regular, 35, in front of a stunning backdrop at Villa Treville in Positano. She beamed as they touched noses, while he rested one hand on her back and she flashed her ring at the camera.
“I said YES,” Lucy simply captioned her stunning photo, which received more than 100,000 likes in a matter of minutes.
Wearing her tresses down with a bejewelled headband, the model looked stunning in a lacy dress, complete with sheer hemline.
She polished off her attire a chunky silver watch, before she was presented with her stunning yellow diamond.
Ryan teamed a loose-fitting white shirt with beige trousers as he kept his wife-to-be close for the loved-up shot.
The couple were soon inundated with congratulatory messages from their famous friends, including Corrie colleague Catherine Tyldesley.
She replied: “Oh my god!!!!!!! Yesssss,” while Helen Flanagan stated: “Congratulations darling xxx.”
Ex Olympian Iwan Thomas wrote: “Made my day – great news,” while Brooke Vincent said: “So amazing xx.”
“Ohhhhh Lucy!! Massive congratulations. So happy for you both xx,” Sam Faiers also told them.
Lucy and Ryan have been dating since 2017 after they met while taking part in Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
It came just hours after the fitness fanatic gushed about her man online, for planning her “dream holiday”.
She said: “I’ve wanted to come to the Amalfi Coast for years and so far it’s even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!
“Our 1st stop is this stunning villa in Ravello. I’m not sure he can beat this place but I’m excited to see where the next surprise location is!!! #ravelloitaly #amalfi #holiday #italy.”
Meanwhile, Ryan also shared a “soppy” message with his own 940,000 users, before jokingly blaming the wine.
He added: “Never ever want to take my life for granted, just sitting here with my beautiful partner, a bottle red watching the world go by from the top of mountain looking over the ocean is a memory I will never forget.
