New Ford GT to be unveiled at Goodwood 2019 – Supercar teased ahead of launch

Ford will unveil the all-new GT supercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019. The all-new car will appear at the event where a ‘special announcement’ during a ‘dedicated press conference’ will occur. The announcement related to the vehicle will take place from 09:45 BST, July 4. Hermann Salenbauch, global director, Ford Performance, and Larry Holt, chief technical officer, Multimatic, will deliver the news about the forthcoming supercar.

Ahead of the event, a shadowy teaser image of the vehicle has been released

The darkened image shows the outline of the car from the head on showing its lowdown shape, LED daytime running lights and spoiler.

It has a powerful and muscular stance which gives it a dominant presence and alludes to a potential track/race-focused model.

The car will reportedly be powered a 647bhp V6-powered road car and will likely be rapid off the line and have a huge top speed.

Aside from the GT Ford will have a number of other vehicles on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019 event.

Tackling the hill climb will be the all-new Focus ST and all-new 760 bhp Mustang Shelby GT500 making their UK debuts.

Gymkhana TEN star Ken Block’s Hoonitruck and Escort RS Cosworth will also take on the iconic 1.16-mile hill climb.

A Ford Ranger Raptor will also be performing an off-road experience for people in attendance.
