Emmerdale spoilers: Nate Robinson and Cain Dingle's past history exposed after Moira clue?

Nate (played by Jurell Carter) has been making waves all around Emmerdale village in recent episodes, particularly with the women.

Beginning to reveal himself to be a major womaniser, the farmer has already had a major run-in with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson).

It turned out not only was he on a date with Amy barely a day after sleeping with Tracy, but there is also some serious history with Amy’s mother too.

Kerry convinced Nate to keep quiet about their rendezvous – which probably took place after the Big Night Out episodes – and Amy later forgave his indiscretions.

The pair were just starting to get close as Amy was keen to take things further, but Nate took a U-turn and insisted he wanted them to take things slow.

When he later had a moment with Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) wife Moira (Natalie J. Robb) however, the lingering chemistry prompted a very different response and Nate raced to see Amy for a night of passion instead.

While it was clear the farmer had developed feelings for his boss, and that alone would make him and Cain enemies, there could be a very different reason for his attraction.

What if Nate is putting on an act to get Moira on his side simply to get revenge against Cain?

Have the pair met before? Or is Nate related to someone Cain has used and abused in the past?

Viewers are convinced there’s more to the duo’s animosity than they’re letting on, so they’ll simply have to wait for the truth to be revealed.

Sharing their guesses on Twitter, fans were eager to see the outcome.

One person mused: “So I’m thinking that Nate is genuinely interested in Amy.

“But he has some vendetta against Cain which is why he’ll deliberately try and come between him and Moira.

“That affair will be lust on her part but a ploy by Nate.”

“By the looks of things, Cain has another son in the form of Nate by the way he’s acting towards him, another guessed.

A third said: “Whatever Nate’s connection to Cain is, it must be bad.”

And a fourth speculated: “Nate is really upset with Cain, I’m guessing Nate thinks Cain is his dad lol.”

”Why does Nate hate Cain so much? Has it got anything to do with them being family?” A fifth fan then wondered.

Whatever the case, when Cain discovers how close Nate and Moira have been getting on the ITV soap, it’ll probably be game over.

Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
