Coronation Street spoilers: Gary Windass to kill Bethany Platt amid Lucy Fallon exit?

Super villain Gary Windass (played by Mikey North) returned to where he buried Rick Neelan’s (Greg Wood) body in tonight’s Coronation Street and it looks like he didn’t pick the best spot to cover up his crime.

Arriving at the spot in the woods where he buried Rick’s body Gary was seen acting suspiciously before a passerby’s dog ran over to the patch of unearthed ground.

Clearly sensing something wasn’t quite right with the patch of land Gary was standing on, the dog barked to its owners and continued to sniff Rick’s burial spot.

Trying to distract the dog’s owners, Gary said: “You’ve not seen my sausage dog have you? One minute he was chasing rabbits and the next thing he’s gone, thought he might have gone down one of these holes.”

Gary then asked the pair to keep a look out for his imaginary dog before thinking on his feet and coming up with a name for the pet.

Satisfied with Gary’s response, the couple walked off with their dog, but next time Gary might not be so lucky.

The Platts’ family dog regularly features on the ITV soap and the pet recently accompanied the family on their holiday break.

Could Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) choose to take David the dog to the woods for a walk and stumble across Rick’s body?

With Bethany star Lucy Fallon’s exit confirmed Gary could continue with his violent streak and silence Bethany for good to protect his dark secrets.

Later on in the episode Gary revealed his plans to leave the Street and start a new life.

He told ex-girlfriend Izzy Armstrong: “Look mum said I could have the spare room I need to get away there’s nothing left for me here anymore.”

“Your son ain’t nothing this is about Sarah isn’t it? You care more about your own hurt pride than being a decent role model,” she hit back.

Despite his initial plans to leave, Izzy eventually persuaded him to stay, so he now may do whatever it takes to keep out of prison.

However Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) could be the next victim in the super villain’s sights.

Over the last few weeks Gary’s ex-girlfriend has moved on with solicitor Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson).

Coronation Street star Mikey has hinted Sarah is in more danger than she thought.

“Things are going from bad to worse, his relationship with Sarah is breaking down,” Mikey explained.

“Gary has become almost fixated on Sarah, in the last few weeks he’s so desperate to get her back and try and win her over.”

Earlier in the week Gary attacked Sarah when she told him that she had moved on, lashing out and throwing her against the wall.

Will Gary be unable to let Sarah go and continue to show his violent side?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
