Xbox Live Gold: New Xbox Game Pass games for Xbox One and Ultimate PC news

Things are starting to shape up for July 2019, with news on what new games are coming to the Xbox Game Pass.

The Game Pass is an Xbox One exclusive and allows members to pay for a subscription to gain access to a big library of titles.

And we now know what titles are being added to the collection at the end of June 2019.

Microsoft revealed today that they would be making four new titles part of the Xbox Game Pass.

These include Resident Evil: Revelations, Goat Simulator and Torment: Tides of Numenera.

Revelations and Rare Replay will be going live tomorrow, June 20, while the others have been pencilled in for June 27.

And it follows a bumper month of news for the Xbox game subscription services, following reveals during E3 2019.

This included the Game Pass launching in beta for the PC platform and the announcement of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

“At E3, we announced that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will also include Xbox Game Pass for PC… with no increase in price.

“So you can get your first month of Ultimate for $1 right now and play over 100 high-quality PC games with our new Xbox (Beta) app for Windows 10.

“With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, members will get access to Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, including all the benefits like the Ultimate Edition Character Pack, 30 Days of Boost, early access to play four days earlier than everyone else, and all Xbox Game Pass members have a hall pass to be the first to play Gears 5 via the tech test in July.”

The downside to some of this good news is that Microsoft will be removing certain games from the Xbox Game Pass by the end of June.

The six games being removed from the Xbox One Game Pass includes:

  • Next Up Hero (June 27)
  • Dead Island Definitive Edition (June 30)
  • Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition (June 30)
  • Shadow Complex Remastered (June 30)
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (June 30)
  • Zombie Army Trilogy (June 30)

As a reminder to those gamers on PC, the first month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can be purchased for $1 and will no doubt see more deals announced during 2019.

According to Microsoft, the Xbox (Beta) app on Windows is the best way to enjoy Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Gamers can use the app to browse games, play PC games, and connect and chat with friends across devices.

And the easiest way to get the app is to use the Xbox (Beta) app installer, which can be found on the official Xbox site.

If your version of Windows needs to be updated to run the Xbox (Beta) app, the installer will help you through that process.

When you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft says they will apply any prepaid time you have on Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass toward the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, up to a maximum of 36 months.
