Paul Pogba swap interest

Juventus are ready to include one player in a potential swap deal involving Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

Italian outlet Calciomercato claim Juventus are willing to give up Douglas Costa to re-sign Pogba this summer.

Calciomercato add that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has held talks with Juventus over a possible deal.

The Italian champions have told Costa the club intents to sell him before the start of next season.

Calciomercato say PSG are also tracking the Brazil international, however, Juventus are more interested in using Costa to land Pogba.

No deal!

West Ham will not consider selling Declan Rice.

Rice, 20, enjoyed a fabulous campaign at the London Stadium – making 38 appearances and earning his first caps for Gareth Southgate’s England.

And his exploits have seen the Red Devils and Premier League champions Manchester City linked with a move.

However, Sky Sports claim West Ham have told both Manchester clubs that they have no intention of selling Rice.

Paul Pogba sabotage

Paul Pogba is worried that a move to Real Madrid will not be completed this summer because of Manchester United’s asking price.

That’s according to the Telegraph, who claim the Red Devils won’t budge on their £160million valuation.

The France midfielder shocked fans when openly admitting his desire for a new challenge elsewhere.

But Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid value Pogba, 26, much closer to the £89m fee United paid Juventus in 2016.

The Telegraph add that Real would ideally like to offer a player-plus-cash deal with one of their Galacticos heading to Old Trafford.

Man Utd plot third offer

Manchester United are working on a THIRD bid for Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils have seen their opening two offers for Wan-Bissaka rejected – but Ed Woodward and the United hierarchy have a plan.

The Evening Standard claim United are prepared to offer an improved offer in the region of £45million with a further £5m in add-ons.

It’s claimed the Old Trafford club are relaxed with the increased fee because they are confident of making £10m from the sale of Matteo Darmian.

Juan Mata contract

Juan Mata has signed a new contract with Manchester United.

The new deal will keep him at the club until June 2021, with the option to extend for a further year.

“It is a real honour to continue to represent this amazing club and our incredible fans,” Mata said. “I have been at Manchester United for five years and I am proud to call Old Trafford my home.

“I am looking forward to working with Ole and his fantastic coaching staff; the vision that they have for the club is truly exciting and I am so happy that I will be a part of that.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added: “Juan is the ultimate professional and one of the most intelligent players I have worked with.”

Paul Scholes: It was a genuine mistake

Paul Scholes insists he made a “genuine mistake” in breaching FA betting rules while co-owner and director at Salford.

The 44-year-old has been fined £8,000 and warned about his future conduct after admitting the charge at a regulatory commission hearing, which found the former Manchester United midfielder “had not acquainted himself with the rules”.

“I accept last week’s ruling. I would like to apologise and I understand and fully accept the fine imposed by the FA,” the ex-England international said in a statement.

“It was a genuine mistake and was not done with any deliberate intention to flout the rules.”
