Love Island host Caroline Flack was on hand last night to split up two couples.

She sent home Elma Pazar and Joe Garratt following the reveal of the elimination twist.

Lucie Donlan was incredibly upset to see her partner sent home after that had just declared they were falling for one-another.

However, some fans think a teaser for this evening’s episode seems to hint that Tommy Fury could be her new comfort.

Lucie and Tommy are undeniably friends, but in the beginning of Love Island, they almost coupled up.

Joe was concerned at their blossoming friendship and come under fire for criticising it.

However, in a trailer for this evening’s episode, Lucie could be seen confiding in a mystery person, and some believe it was Tommy.

While sobbing, she says to them: “The only people I trust in here is you and Anton.”

The surfer adds: “I just don’t know what to do.”

Many have flocked to Twitter to call for her to stay and make a move on Tommy.

One wrote: “Lucie and Tommy need to be sent on a date #lowkeyinlove.”

Another added: “I’ve come to the conclusion that Joe being dumped will lead to Lucie & Tommy together, Molly-Mae with Danny.”

A third shared: “Tommy is so much better for Lucie.”

However, Tommy is currently coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague, who recently fought off advances from Maura Higgins for his affection.

Will she stay and chase after Tommy? Many have wondered if she would actually leave to go and be with Joe.

Lucie said in the trailer for this evening’s episode: “If [Joe] was in my position what would he do? Would he come with me or would he stay?”

Furthermore, viewers think she will depart soon as well, saying: “I’m convinced Lucie will leave for Joe today. I know lots of people don’t like Joe, myself included, but we only get to see 45 minutes of a whole day. She clearly really cared for him and needed him when she seems to be in such a fragile state.”

Another added: “Lucie deserves 10000% better but if she is miserable please leave. There’s no point putting yourself through this if you can’t do it.

A third shared: “If Lucie cared about Joe the way they both make it that they’re so into each other, then why didn’t she leave. It baffles me every year. Is she meant to couple up with the bed now?”

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
