Japan 0-1 England LIVE: Updates from Women's World Cup as Lionesses look to win Group D

England have already booked their place in the round of 16 at this summer’s Women’s World Cup but they still have plenty to play for.

Wins against Scotland and Argentina mean they are top of Group D going into their showdown with Asako Takakura’s Japan side in Nice.

And they will be desperate to finish the first stage there to give them a more favourable draw in the next round of the competition.

England will top Group D if they beat or draw with Japan, setting up a tie against the team who finished third in Group B, E or F, depending on who places best in those pools.
