Alex Jones baby: The One Show presenter opens up on maternity leave ‘perks’

Alex Jones, 42, welcomed another baby boy into the world, named Kit, with her husband Charlie Thomson, last month.

And the Welsh star appears to be settling into being a mother-of-two as she looked glowing whilst spending some time with a friend today.

The One Show host revealed she was enjoying some fresh air and a bite to eat with her pal, make-up artist, Liz Beckett.

The two women were joined by Alex’s little one Kit, and Liz’s baby boy.

Alex, dressed in a black-and-white striped top, beamed away to the camera as she relished in the outdoors.

She captioned the selfie: “Fresh air and a pub lunch with @lizbeckettmua and the bubba’s. #maternityleaveperks.”

Many of Alex’s 178,000 Instagram followers praised how well Alex looked and wished them both a lovely lunch.

One person commented: “How fabulous do you look?!!! You girlies enjoy your lunch! X.”

Another gushed: “Awww @alexjonesthomson you are positively glowing. You look so happy. Motherhood really suits you. Xx.”

A third offered advice and said: “Enjoy this time. Life passes so quickly!!”

Her trip outdoors comes after Alex spent time with Chris Evans’ wife Natasha Shishmanian and their twins last week.

The BBC One presenter uploaded a picture of herself and Natasha, with her nine-month-old twins Walt and Boo, and Alex’s baby Kit, sitting in their buggies.

Alex reflected on how different their lives were this time last year with no babies under the age of one around.

“For years and years we talked about having children and here we were today pushing our tiny humans around Windsor Park,” Alex wrote on the sweet snap.

She added: “What a difference a year makes.”

Alex, who also has another son, Teddy, two, with her husband, recently thanked fans for their supportive messages.

“4 weeks of getting to know Kit. A big thank you for all your messages over the last few weeks,” she said next to an adorable snap of her enjoying snuggles from Kit.

“Each one is very much appreciated,” she continued. “I’ve loved reading them and they’ve really kept me going during the long nights.”

Alex added: “Lots of love and congratulations to all the other new parents out there who have been in touch too.”

The One Show airs tonight on BBC One at 7pm.
