Trump not taking action against Fed chair Powell: White House adviser

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow on Tuesday said U.S. President Donald Trump is not considering any changes to U.S. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s status.

Kudlow, speaking to reporters at the White House ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s meeting this week, also reiterated that the U.S. central bank was an independent body.
