Piers Morgan: GMB host reveals 'embarrassing' moment with school bullies ‘Can't stop her!’

Piers Morgan, 54, explained when he moved from a prep school to a comprehensive in Sussex, he experienced a huge change.

The presenter revealed he was bullied shortly after he started, which resulted in him getting involved in a “scrap”.

In an interview with this week’s Radio Times, the star revealed he was picked on and explained his full name “Piers Pughe-Morgan, double barrelled” didn’t help.

“In the first week I met a guy who had a multicolour Mohican and he and his massive mate decided they were going to torment and bully me,” he spilled.

“We got off the school bus after a few weeks and we scrapped it out in the middle of the A272.”

Piers recalled how his mum was the one to drag him out of the fight and “marched” him home.

He said: “All I remember is my mother running out, seeing this mass mob cheering us on and her pulling us off each other and frog-marching me home, which was a little embarrassing.

“I was like, ‘Mother, let me fight my own battles, please.’ She’s carried on fighting my battles ever since. I can’t stop her.”

Meanwhile, Piers will be busy celebrating the Soccer Aid 2019 win with his team, World XI, for quite a while.

On Good Morning Britain yesterday, the star couldn’t get over the huge achievement as he taunted his co-host Susanna Reid, who co-managed the England team.

Whilst parading the silverware, Queen song, We Are The Champions, and Tina Turner’s Simply The Best were played.

“Well done Piers. I’m so pleased for you,” Susanna praised, through gritted teeth.

She said: “We were winning 2-0 for such a significant proportion of the game. And deserved to win.”

The Good Morning Britain pair spoke to Mark Wright, who played in the losing England team, on FaceTime.

But after more gloating from Piers, Mark hung up on the call, leaving the presenters stunned.

When the chat came to an end, Susanna praised: “And a terrific game last night, Mark. You played a blinder and you were absolutely brilliant.”

The former TOWIE star nodded his head, blew a kiss, and thanked the host for her work managing the England team.

However, Piers couldn’t resist getting one final dig in and said: “Well, you did play a blinder because only a blind man would miss the goal by that much!”

Mark shouted “goodbye” a couple of times and then hung up on Good Morning Britain.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.

Piers Morgan’s interview with Radio Times, is out now.
