Google Calendar down: Users unable to access service as Error 404 message displayed

Google Calendar is used by many individuals and workplaces to list events and other happenings.

However, this afternoon it seems the service is suffering from a major outage.

Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 780 reports from users at one time insisting Google Calendar is not working properly.

At the moment, attempting to load Google Calendar on a desktop presents users with an “Error 404” message.

In response, many fans of the service have flocked to Twitter to express their disappointment at the problems plaguing Google Calendar.

One said: “Google Calendar is down. I can’t be blamed if I miss a meeting.”

Another remarked: “Google Calendar is down and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do 30 minutes from now.”

A third tweeted: “Google Calendar is down and I’m confused about who I am as a person.”

A fourth user stated: Google calendar is down and I don’t know what to do with my life.”

On its Twitter account, Google Calendar has stated it is “aware” of the issue in question and is “working on a fix”.

The full tweet discussing the matter read: “Our team is aware of this issue and working on a fix.

“Appreciate your patience.”

It is currently unclear when the problems plaguing Google Calendar will be remedied.
