Despite the current controversy surrounding Huawei and their upcoming Google Android ban, the Mate 20 Pro flagship continues to be one of the very best Android phones on the market.
This device includes some truly impressive features such a triple rear camera, embedded fingerprint scanner, huge battery and reverse wireless charging which all help to make it a market-leading smartphone.
However, a new leak may reveal why the Mate 20 Pro could soon look hugely inferior.
Some images have recently been posted online by ITHome which claim to show how the all-new Mate 30 Pro will look.
If true, it seems this device will follow the recently released P30 Pro and include a quadruple rear camera on its back case.
The P30 Pro has pushed the boundaries of what a smartphone camera can do with this device able to produce improved zoom, better images in low light and continues to feature a wide-angle lens.
If the Mate 30 Pro follows with that technology it will certainly make this smartphone even better than before.
Along with that rear camera system, there’s also a change coming to the front of the phone.
It seems that Huawei may be planning to ditch the notch and offer consumers a hole-punched dual camera instead.
This is a trend that’s been growing in recent months with Samsung’s Galaxy S10 adopting this new selfie camera and Huawei’s budget Honor brand also producing something similar on its latest devices.
There’s nothing to back up these latest images but the rumours look set to continue with the Mate 30 Pro just a few months away from an official release.
One thing that remains to be seen about this phone is which operating system will power it.
As we mentioned earlier in this article, Huawei is facing huge problems after it was placed on a blacklist by the US government.
This block means Google was recently forced to stop its Android license with the ban expected to come into force before the Mate 30 Pro is released.
If the blacklisting isn’t revoked, Huawei may have to design and build their own operating system which could cause numerous issues including having no access to the Google Play Store and millions of apps.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the autumn time but there’s certainly an interesting few months ahead for Huawei and its millions of fans.
