Love Island 2019 news: The 5 moments YOU missed this week – from nip slips to spats

ITV2 series Love Island is proving to be a dramatic one after Sherif Lanre quit the show and Maura Higgins made waves after coming in and turning Tommy Fury’s head in a “560-degree turn”. Every week ITV2 airs all the extra moments fans missed out in its exclusive Love Island: Unseen Bits programme. This week had its share of hilarious moments that didn’t make it onto the main show.

The Love Island boot camp challenge

Sadly, audiences missed on the hilarious challenge the singletons were set this week where the girls were ordering the boys around as part of the Love Island boot camp.

Molly-Mae was yelling at the top of her lungs at the boys to run as fast as they could while carrying one of the other girls no less.

“My throat is actually hurting now. I just needed to get it out of my system,” Molly-Mae admitted in the Beach Hut later on as we cut to scenes of her irately shouting at Danny Williams to run.

All the girls unleashed their sadistic personal trainer personas on the boys, who were put through a gruelling workout.

“It was amazing to be horrible to them for no reason. It shut ‘em up really,” Lucie Donlan later quipped to the camera.

Danny got into row with Molly-Mae

Danny and Molly-Mae seemed to get into a spat as he hit out at the girls for their petty jeering after the new girls arrived.

He chided her Molly-Mae and the other girls for their immature behaviour after they could be heard mocking Maura and Elma Pazar while they went on several dates.

While Molly-Mae and Amber Gill tried to brush it off as “banter”, Danny wasn’t having any of it.

The usually calm and collected Danny seemed to lose his cool.

He later spoke to his couple partner Yewande Biala about her actions which she tried to justify by insisting the newcomers had created the atmosphere when they entered.

Amy nearly exposes herself

Curtis Pritchard had to warn Amy Hart that she was in danger of exposing her nipple when her bikini top went askew.

Amy looked mortified and quickly covered up her nipple which had poked out.

Given the amount of skimpy swimwear the boys and girls are seen in, it’s surprising there aren’t more wardrobe malfunctions on the show.

The moment happened while Amy was getting a little bit enthusiastic about some dance moves Curtis had just shown her.

“A little bit of slippage there, Ams,” Curtis said to his “half-girlfriend” as she failed to pick up the hint that she was baring a little bit too much for the cameras.

Tommy doesn’t know the capital of France or when World War One started

During some downtime in the villa, Tommy and Molly-Mae continued to get to know each other and test each other’s knowledge.

When Molly-Mae asked Tommy if he could name the capital of France, the boxer was left completely stumped.

However, he seemed to inexplicably know Pi to two decimal points which rolled off the tip of his tongue: “3.14.”

Earlier on in the episode, Tommy asked Molly-Mae if she knew when World War One started. Her first guess was 1964 and the second was 1942.

Tommy helpfully corrected her by incorrectly informing her it was 1931. The conflict in fact started in 1914 and lasted until 1918.

He also revealed he knew the Greek god was Neptune because he was a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. However, Poseidon was the Greek god of the sea while Neptune was the Roman equivalent.

Maura and Elma’s dates

Audiences got to see more from Maura and Elma’s dates after they recently went into the villa.

One of the dates saw Elma challenging Tommy to see how many marshmallows he could hold in his mouth at once. Unsurprisingly, Tommy had to stop after he started to gag.

While another scene showed Maura really cracking onto Tommy as she laid it on thick in a bid to win him over.

The dates seemed to go well enough, but the other girls were watching from the balcony and didn’t look too pleased, resorting to playground behaviour.
