Justice League reboot LEAK? ‘James Gunn to direct’ with THIS epic line-up and VILLAIN?

Two years ago Zac Snyder’s Justice League hit cinemas and was a critical and financial bomb. The DC movie made just $657 million worldwide when it was expected to match Marvel’s Avengers with over $1 billion. Earlier this week marked when Justice League 2 was supposed to release, but the sequel was abandoned for obvious reasons. Since then Warner Bros have been reevaluating their DC properties, maximising what works (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn) and rebooting what hasn’t (Batman, Joker).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 director Gunn is set to helm a new Suicide Squad movie called The Suicide Squad for a 2021 release.

And now We Got This Covered’s source claims the filmmaker is being eyed for a Justice League reboot.

Allegedly the team’s line up being considered includes Superman, Batman, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern.

Meanwhile, it’s believed the villain will be Darkseid, who is basically DC’s equivalent of Thanos.

Assuming there is a new Justice League movie, just how will the new incarnations of the DC superheroes relate to the older ones like Aquaman and Wonder Woman who are still around?

Or will there be two separate universes existing at the same time?

Certainly, this is already the case with the Joker, as Harley Quinn’s Birds of Prey is on the way, while Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker solo movie is out this year.

Here’s hoping for some more crossover comic book antics whatever the case.
