Kirsty Gallacher husband: Who is the TV star’s hunky rugby player ex?

Sports presenter Kirsty Gallagher, 43, will host Soccer Aid 2019 on Sunday night. The event will see football veterans and international celebs alike walk out onto the pitch to raise money for Unicef. John Terry and Robbie Williams are among the stars taking part this year and the live show will be hosted by Kirsty Gallagher. The ex Sky Sports presenter stunned in a tight white frock at the Soccer Aid gala earlier this week, but who is the gorgeous brunette dating?

Paul Sampson is an English rugby union player who has played at wing or full-back for London Welsh, Blackheath, Worcester Warriors, Bath and Wasps.

Following their divorce, Kirsty branded her marriage to Paul “the worst investment she has ever made” because of the toll it took on her finances.

She told the Sunday Times, at the time: “Divorce is a nightmare, the legal fees and all the c*** that goes with it.”

She added she would think twice before getting married again, saying: “It is too complex to get divorced when you have lots of things.”

Kirsty continued: “I am a lucky girl but the more you have, the more you lose.”

Kirsty is the daughter of one of Britain’s best-known golfers, and former Ryder Cup captain, Bernard Gallacher.

She is worth a reported £2.3 million.

Since Paul, Kirsty is reported to have dated actress Billie Piper’s ex Laurence Fox.

But Kirsty and Laurence split after six months together in 2018, according to the Sun.

Kirsty was convicted of drinking driving in 2017 and has revealed she “didn’t cope well” following her divorce and two-year driving ban.

She opened up about the tumultuous time on her pal Natalie Pinkham’s In The Pink Podcast.

Gallacher said: “Divorce is horrific. I’ve had a tough few years. I hit pretty much rock bottom at one point.

“My poor body and brain have gone through it. I’ve not coped very well.’
