Rambo 6: Sylvester Stallone KEEN if Rambo Last Blood is box office success

Rambo: First Blood was released in 1982 and now the 72-year-old is gearing up for his fifth outing as the Vietnam veteran. Rambo: Last Blood sounds pretty conclusive, with some fans wondering if the character will die at the end. However, Stallone himself has teased that Rambo 6 may be on the cards. In fact, he shows no sign of wanting to end the franchise as he enjoys it so much.

Speaking at Cannes Film Festival, he said “Let me just say something about the ‘last’ of anything.

“I thought Rocky 3 was the last, you know. So I don’t know anything.

“If it works I’ll just keep going, you know because I enjoy it so much.”

Stallone’s certainly right with there being three more Rocky films and two Creed spin-offs to date.

STALLONE: ‘DOLPH LUNDGREN ALMOST KILLED ME ON ROCKY IV’

Rambo: Last Blood sees the Vietnam veteran living in Arizona on a ranch, before travelling to Mexico to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by the cartel.

Considering this is the final Rambo movie, and how Wolverine died at the end of Logan, we wouldn’t put it past Stallone to follow likewise with his character.

The explosive first trailer also sees the cartel attacking Rambo at his ranch, where he sets up Home Alone-style booby traps.

Rambo: Last Blood is released in UK cinemas on September 20, 2019.
