Maura Higgins, 28, made a dramatic entrance into Love Island 2019 as she made her feelings clear on last night’s episode after Tommy Fury, 20, immediately caught her attention. However, it’s since emerged the Irish stunner described herself as engaged to be married as part of her biography for the shopping app Depop. From her online profile, the model is selling her old bikinis on the site for as little as £9 for each set. She also sells a number of thong bikinis and worn dresses.
Maura listed her engaged status when she posted a snap of her Instagram bio from three years ago onto the account.
Depop is an online marketplace where people can buy and sell their unwanted items.
The beauty is a model and grid girl from County Longford in Ireland.
Speaking about her work as a grid girl at motocross events with the Monster Girls, she said: “Some of my best Friends are Monster Girls and I get to travel with them.
“The Monster Girls really are a family along with the extended team of our athletes and crew.”
Speaking to ITV, Maura revealed that unlike some of the Love Island 2019 cast members, she has never dated anyone from social media.
She said: “I’ve never been on a dating app. I haven’t really been single much but I would probably meet someone on a night out.
“I don’t really meet people over social media. I’ve had people slides into my DMs but I just ignore it!”
Speaking about her dating history before Love Island, she said: “I’m a relationship type of girl.
“I hate being single. I was in a nine-year relationship that finished a few years ago.
“Then I was with another guy, we broke up last year sometime, then we got back together but the trust was gone and it’s not going to come back.
“It ended quite recently. As the trust is just gone, for me, there is no going back.”
Meanwhile, the Love Island star stunned viewers as she made some x-rated remarks towards the Tommy on the show.
The young boxer was tasked with creating a starter for Maura, before later going on to prepare a dish for newcomer Elma Pazar.
