Matthijs de Ligt latest

Matthijs de Ligt has an agreement in place to join Barcelona if he snubs Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

That is according to football reporter Oriol Domenech, who dropped an update on the Ajax ace while appearing on Spanish show Club de la Mitjanit on Monday night.

“The number is already agreed upon and that is what Barca will pay if De Ligt decides to come,” Domenech said on Esport3 and Catalunya Radio show Club de la Mitjanit.

“The agreement between the two clubs is total.”

Domenech clarified the fee Barcelona are set to hand over for De Ligt if he chooses to sign for them is about £67m (€75m).

Paul Pogba public plea…

Manchester United aren’t prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Paul Pogba, reports claim.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid aren’t hopeful of their chances of luring the French international to the Bernabeu this summer.

Previously it was reported that £143million would tempt the Red Devils to part with Pogba – but AS claim United haven’t set a fee and want to build their side around the 26-year-old.

Real Madrid are therefore relying on Pogba to make a public demand to leave the club.

Bruno Fernandes agreement

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon to sign Bruno Fernandes.

That’s according to director of Italian broadcaster Pietro Balanzo Prota of Radio Rossonera.

Fernandes’ talents are in demand after the Sporting CP captain mustered an incredible 32 goals and 18 assists in 53 matches across all competitions for the Portuguese outfit from an attacking midfield role.

And it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have taken the lead over other interested suitors including Tottenham, Liverpool and Inter Milan as they look to build on their acquisition of Daniel James from Swansea.

“An agreement with the club has been reached,” Balzano Prota wrote on Twitter. “They are supposedly working on the last details, one aspect being the commissions.

“Various clubs seem interested in the player, but for now Man Utd is very close to signing him.”

Daniel James and Ronaldo…

Daniel James has been likened to sprinter Usain Bolt and Brazilian football legend Ronaldo by Hungary manager Marco Rossi.

The Welsh winger’s club Swansea have agreed a deal in principle for the sale of James to Manchester United for a fee believed to be around £18m.

Rossi, who has managed Hungary since last year, believes James can be compared with Olympic hero Usain Bolt, as well as World Cup winner Ronaldo.

“James’ speed reminds me of Usain Bolt… to be so fast like him is really incredible,” said Rossi. “In the last years I don’t remember one player that gave me the sensation.”

Jan Oblak

Manchester United is the favoured destination for wantaway Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

United could’ve found the perfect replacement for David De Gea with the Spaniard’s future in serious doubt.

PSG are in pole position to seal a deal with the 28-year-old shot stopper, and it was even claimed that United are willing to pay De Gea to leave.

ESPN have now claimed that Jan Oblak, who has kept 117 clean sheets in 208 fixtures for Atletico, wants to move to Old Trafford.
