Carol Vorderman, 58, gave fans a glimpse into family time as she shared a photo with her lookalike daughter Katie King, 28, which certainly caught the attention from her legion of her followers. The former Countdown star gushed over Katie as she admitted she is a “proud mum”. In the snap which she shared with her 403,000 Twitter followers, the pair could be seen beaming at the camera as they held each other’s waist. With a strikingly similar appearance, Carol looked chic in a green silk blouse teamed with a pair of tight-fitted jeans.
Her blonde tresses hung loosely over her shoulders as she flaunted her toned physique.
Katie looked equally stylish, as she rocked an all black ensemble with her brunette tresses styled in loose waves.
The small-screen star captioned the post: “Filming a few stories at @NASA_Johnson with my daughter @KKing_5 (has worked as research scientist at NASA, wants to be an astronaut, completing PHD Cambridge Nanotechnology) for @BBCTheOneShow x..am a proud mum this week #ScienceNerds.”
Fans flocked to comment as they praised the mother and daughter duo.

Another person said: “Like her mum brains and beauty she’s a bit taller too definitely good genes.”
While a third person added: “Should be a proud mum all the time, given your daughter’s achievements!”
As well as similar looks, Katie also has followed in Carol’s footsteps academically.
Last year, a social media user asked the mathematician if her daughter had her arithmetic skills to which Carol replied: “Yes… she has a Master in Physics and Chemistry (Cambridge)… now doing a PhD in Nano Technology at Cambridge.”
The proud parent revealed Katie graduated from Cambridge in 2015 and shared snaps which proved the pair’s resemblance was evident.
Her daughter has since returned to Cambridge as she is currently studying for her PHD in Nanotechnology.
Katie is the daughter of management consultant, Patrick King, from Carol’s second marriage – the couple were married for 10 years but divorced in 2000.
Elsewhere, Carol has had cause for celebration as she recently announced she will be presenting a new lunchtime show which will air on Saturdays on BBC Radio Wales.
Carol divulged: “Saturday coming, June 8, I start my Saturday show. Saturday lunchtime from 11.30am to 12.30pm.”
