North Korea SHOCK: Kim Jong-Un's assassinated brother accused of being 'CIA informant'

Kim Jong Nam was assassinated in 2017 in Malaysia and had apparently met with agency operatives. A source told the Wall Street Journal that there had been “a nexus” between Kim’s half-brother and the CIA. However, it has not been verified when these apparent meetings took place or whether the North Korean leader was aware of them.

Kim’s brother was killed in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Airport in February 2017 following a life of exile away from his family.

According to officials at the time, Kim’s half-brother had been poisoned with a nerve agent.

Due to that poison, he later died of a heart attack.

North Korea has so far denied those claims.

Two women were accused of the attack and were later revealed as unassuming Youtube pranksters.

The accusation that Kim’s half-brother was a CIA informant was also supported by Anna Fifield, a journalist for The Washington Post.

Ms Fifield claimed that the North Korean leader’s half-brother was killed on Kim Jong-un’s orders because his status as an elder brother made him a potential threat.

Writing in her book, The Great Successor: The Secret Rise and Rule of Kim Jong Un, she added: “Kim Jong-nam became an informant for the CIA, an agency with a track record of trying to bring down dictators it didn’t like.

“His brother would have considered talking to American spies a treacherous act.

“Kim Jong-nam provided information to them, usually meeting his handlers in Singapore or Malaysia.”
