Final Fantasy 8 Remastered LEAK: Square Enix to announce E3 2019 surprise?

A leaker who has made mincemeat of E3 with leaks this year has revealed that a Final Fantasy 8 Remastered project will be announced tonight.

Having gone on a run of correct game leaks, the Twitter user Sabi made their latest round of predictions before the E3 2019 show.

“Say it with me: Final Fantasy 8 Remastered, The Last Remnant Remastered ported to that console (yknow the one), Mana collection being localized in the west and titling Seiken Densetsu 3 as Trials of Mana, and Romancing Saga 3 & Saga Scarlet Grace Ambitions,” they posted today.

It doesn’t appear that this will be in line with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which just got a release date set for 2020.

Instead, this new remaster will be more like the one we have seen for Final Fantasy 9.

The details haven’t been confirmed by Square Enix yet but are expected to be confirmed during tonight’s E3 2019 showcase.

This is set to kick off at 2am in the UK, or 6pm if you’re in California.
