Marvel news: The X-Men WON’T be in the MCU for AT LEAST five years according to THIS leak

With the Disney-Fox merger, the mouse-house has acquired a wealth of new content. Most excitingly, Disney now has access to the X-Men franchise. Fans are hoping this means the long-anticipated Marvel-X-Men crossover will finally happen. A new Reddit leak has given rise to speculation of if, and when, this might happen.

When will the X-Men appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

According to a mod-verified Reddit user, the X-Men reboot will occur within the next five years.

TheMarvelScoopMaster wrote a lengthy post detailing the potential plot of Captian Marvel 2.

The comments, however, ran the gamut and many fans pressed for details on upcoming MCU films.

One user wrote: “if you have reliable sources, why no Doom in your previous villains’ post?

X-MEN DARK PHOENIX: IS DARK PHOENIX THE MOST POWERFUL MUTANT?

Any idea why they wouldn’t touch the best villain in the Marvel Universe?”

TheMarvelScoopMaster replied: “Marvel operates on a hard 3-4 year plan, and beyond that is vague ideas and concepts.

“With some exceptions, you’re not going to see Fox-Marvel characters inside that 3-4 year window.

“Minor characters sure, but don’t expect X-Men, Fantastic Four, or Doom.”

This Redditor also rebutted a rumour made popular by another Marvel leaker – MCU Cosmic.

MCU Cosmic previously reported a Fantastic Four movie is in the works for 2022.

TheMarvelScoop said: “Fake. Marvel won’t have anything Fantastic Four/X-Men related for another five years at the least.

“There are 10+ projects that are further in development and with three movies a year, Marvel has at least three to four years of content to push out first.”

The Redditor went on to further disparage MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, though Conrad has accurately predicted many Marvel details.

Of course, this leak, too, should be taken with a huge pinch of salt.

His claim, however, is slightly bolstered by Marvel boss Kevin Feige who also hinted at the possibility.

Mr Feige said: “It will be a while. “It’s all just beginning and the five-year plan that we’ve been working on, we were working on before any of that was set.

“So really it’s much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they’re home.

“That they’re all back. But it will be a very long time.”

X-Men Dark Phoenix is now playing in cinemas.
