Galaxy S10 just got a major speed boost as Samsung releases its first 5G smartphone

Galaxy S10 is Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship series that was unwrapped back in February.

Three models of the S10 launched in the UK the following the month; the Galaxy S10e, standard Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+.

However, the South Korean tech powerhouse is bolstering its S10 lineup and has released the biggest and fastest version of the S10 in the UK today, the aptly titled S10 5G.

As its name suggests, the Galaxy S10 5G is capable of delivering next-generation mobile speeds for Android fans.

Available through EE and Vodafone, the new device will be blisteringly fast when harnessing 5G in supported areas.

Galaxy S10 5G comes with a colossal 6.7-inch display that offers the resolution of 1440×3040 and the density of 502-pixels-per-inch.

Moreover, the handset also comes with a whopping four cameras on its rear as opposed to the three present on the regular Galaxy S10 and S10+.

The additional module is a time-of-flight sensor that is used for measuring depth.

This allows the S10 5G to deliver more accurate bokeh effects overall, such as in portrait mode shots for example.

Galaxy S10 5G also comes with a humungous 4,500mAh battery that should deliver all-day life for owners.

However, it is worth noting the hardware’s battery may be drained faster than its smaller brothers thanks to its support for 5G speeds.

Internally, the S10 5G is powered by the same processors as other models in the series.

That means UK Android fans can expect their handset to be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9820 while other territories will be granted Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855.

Samsung is selling the S10 5G for £1,099 on its site but the hardware can also be obtained on contracts through EE and Vodafone.

5G plans are slightly more expensive than 4G ones; a tariff with EE that comes with 60GB of data costs £84 per month on a two-year contract for example.

The Galaxy S10 5G released today and is available to purchase right now.
