Eden Hazard shirts spotted in official Real Madrid store – number star will wear revealed

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real since the summer of 2018 and is now on the verge of completing his switch to the Spanish capital.

And the first signs that the transfer has been completed are now out in the open for all to see. The Belgian’s new Real shirt has been spotted hanging up in the official club store.

The Blues have been reluctant to do a deal with Real Madrid but reports are suggesting they’ve succumbed to an £88million bid from the 13-time European Cup winners, with add-ons that could make the fee rise to £130m.

Below Hazard’s name on his new Los Blancos kit is the number seven, a number previously worn by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hazard all but confirmed his departure from Stamford Bridge after his side’s Europa League final demoltion of Arsenal.

The 28-year-old scored a brace on his final Chelsea appearance as Maurizio Sarri’s men thrashed the Gunners 4-1 in Baku last week.

“I’ve taken my decision already, I’ve said that two weeks ago,” Hazard told BT Sport.

“Now it depends on the club, both clubs. I’m just waiting like the fans wait, we will know in a couple of days.

“I think it is a goodbye, but in football you never know.

“Now maybe it is time for a new challenge.

“My dream was to play in the Premier League, I did it for seven years. Maybe now it’s time for a new challenge.”

Chelsea are set to lose their most important player at a time where their future in the transfer market is unclear. They confirmed earlier today that they have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport about the transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA over their past recruitment of foreign minors.

An announcement on Hazard’s transfer to Real is expected within days after months of toing and froing over a fee.

Hazard has stated on numerous ocassions before that it was a dream of his to play for Real under his footballing idol Zinedine Zidane.

It looked like the chance to play for the French legend had dissipated last summer when Zidane left the club following his final Champions League win with the club.

But Zidane returned in March after Santiago Solari was sacked, giving Hazard the chance to finally link up with the former Real midfielder.
