Amanda Holden: Heart radio host takes HUGE swipe at Phillip Schofield amid ‘feud’

Last year, it was reported Amanda Holden, 48, had fallen out with Phillip Schofield, 57, after it was claimed she blamed him for her not getting the stand-in job on This Morning.

And the Britain’s Got Talent judge made a dig about him on Heart FM as she compared him to a household pest.

The presenter, who presents the national Breakfast Show with Jamie Theakston, was asked in a quick fire game three things she wouldn’t want to find in her home.

She replied: “Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield,” before falling into a fit of giggles.

Amanda was reportedly in line to present on This Morning when Holly Willoughby, 38, took time off to stand-in for Ant McPartlin on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

According to The Sun, the Britain’s Got Talent judge felt “let down” by her friend Phillip when she found out she didn’t get the position.

A source told the publication at the time: “Amanda was very excited when she learnt she had secured the role.

“So she was shocked when she was taken out to lunch by ITV executives who told her that unfortunately they couldn’t follow through with the offer.

“During the lunch they let slip they thought the decision had been heavily influenced by Phil and that he had thrown a spanner in the works.”

Amanda was “understandably upset” she “missed out” on the coveted role having had experience presenting on the show.

The actress had previously been a regular stepping in to present on This Morning and took over from Holly in 2014 when she was on maternity leave with her third child.

Rochelle Humes went on to be chosen to replace Holly during her time in Australia.

Meanwhile, Amanda recently spoke about the backlash she receives for her choice of outfits on Britain’s Got Talent.

The singer divided viewers with her dresses on the live semi-finals this year as she opted for very daring, cleavage-baring ensembles.

But the star admitted she’s not bothered about the criticism and said she loves people talking about her “tired old breasts”.

She told last weekend’s You magazine: “I love it that people are still talking about my tired old breasts and I’m nearly 50!”

Amanda compared the attention she receives to her co-star, Alesha Dixon, 40.

“No one talks about Alesha Dixon’s – she’s got great boobs by the way – and she’s eight years younger than me,” she continued.

“Age is totally irrelevant, thanks to people like J-Lo, who is 48 and just a sexy, hot woman who dresses for how she feels.”

Amanda Holden’s Heart FM Breakfast Show airs weekdays from 6.30am.
