NBA trade news: Knicks have HUGE advantage over Lakers for Anthony Davis

That’s according to Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher, who believes the No 3 pick the Knicks have is a really attractive offer to New Orleans.

Trade talks are expected to ramp up in the coming weeks ahead of the NBA draft.

Davis remains the biggest target for several teams looking to make a big move, and reports have suggested he hasn’t changed his mind about wanting to leave the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Lakers have the No 4 pick they could potentially include in a trade offer to New Orleans to acquire Davis.

But there are question marks over the fitness of both Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, who would also likely be included in a trade offer.

The Lakers remain hopeful of striking a deal with New Orleans and will likely be active on draft night dangling their No 4 pick.

However, Bucher suggests New York have the “big prize” New Orleans would want in return for trading away their All-Star.

“It’s not as though the Lakers can offer some huge prize that other teams can’t match,” he said on Speak For Yourself.

“Even the distinction between the No 3 pick with New York and the No 4 pick with the Lakers is a distinctive change.

“R.J. Barrett is in a different place to anybody down below that.

“So the Knicks wanting that, wanting to be able to pair that potentially with KD, that makes all the sense in the world.

“We see it time after time; teams like to move that star to the other conference.

“So he’s only in your building once a year. You only have to see him one other time.

“That makes all the sense in the world to make that move, as opposed to succumbing what the Lakers want.”
