WWDC 2019 live stream – How to watch Apple launch live

The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is an annual showcase hosted by Apple that typically exhibits its latest and greatest software.

This year it is anticipated iOS 13 will be shown running on the iPhone and iPad; the new operating system has been rumoured to boast a deluge of new features with the most widely discussed being a dark mode.

Last year Apple introduced such a theme for its Mac series of computers and it has been widely tipped the firm is planning to give its smartphone and tablet lineups the same treatment.

It has also been speculated Apple could overhaul the camera app and may even allow users to check their Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings without having to leave an opened programme.

The iPad could also receive some exclusive features such as rumoured mouse support that would give the tablet a huge boost where productivity is concerned.

Apple is also expected to detail a score of new features for its macOS platform – one of the biggest expectations here is the tech powerhouse will discuss its Marzipan project in more detail.

Marzipan was announced at WWDC last year and essentially aims to make it easier for iPhone and iPad apps to be ported to the Mac.

Apple’s watchOS software, that powers its hugely popular wearable line, is also anticipated to be updated.

While rumours surrounding the new operating system have been scarce, Bloomberg has insisted new apps for the Apple Watch could arrive dubbed “Dose” and “Cycles”.

The former has been tipped to deliver reminders for taking pills while the latter is expected to track menstrual cycles.

It is also possible more fitness features could grace the wearable in addition to new watch faces.

Finally, it has also been speculated Apple could show off new hardware at WWDC 2019 in the form of its new Mac Pro computer.

The American tech giant has already confirmed the new machine will debut this year, meaning there is a chance fans could get their first glimpse today.
