Outlander season 5 spoilers: Brianna Mackenzie star REVEALS Sam Heughan's HUGE struggle

The adjustment to 1770s America in Outlander is hard enough for those living in the time, so it would be even more difficult for a modern-day person to adapt to it.

However, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin, who play Brianna and Roger respectively, have had an attempt at judging who would adapt the easiest.

In a video posted by the Starz show’s Twitter account, the cast celebrate Outlander Day and answer fans’ questions about the show.

The video also features main stars Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe).

Sophie and Richard are asked who they think would “thrive on Fraser’s Ridge” in the 1770s and Sophie replied: “I think Richard would struggle because he wouldn’t have his computer, and Sam would struggle because he wouldn’t have Instagram.

“Cait and I would be fine because we’d have a good chat and whiskey.”

Richard agreed: “I think that’s probably true. I think Caitriona and Sophie would probably fare the best in this time period. I would definitely struggle without my camera, my PC, tech, my phone.”

Fans loved Brianna and Roger together at last and replied with their love.

One fan replied: “Finally get to see #RogerandBree sooooooooo happy!!!!!!!!!”

Another added: “What a treat !! So happy to see our lovely #RogerandBree again, they look fabulous  Thank you and happy.”

A third fan said: “Yesss….great to see the family at the Ridge!”

Another would love to see Sophie and Caitriona together in that period: “Everyone looks GREAT and I love Sophie’s comment about her and Cait surviving in the 18th century… like what else would you need?”

In the video, Caitriona also teased what is to come for the Frasers: “And now that we’re really settled in, there’s a lot of events ramping up.

“You know history has a way of pulling the Frasers into it.”

Sam interjected: “Yes. We’re not good at dodging history are we?”
