Melania Trump compared to flight attendant as she wears £650 Burberry shirt to land in UK

Melania Trump, 49, and husband Donald Trump, 72, were all smiles as they landed in the UK. The First Lady wore a navy skirt suit and white pussybow silk blouse – although many felt the shirt, which is £650 from Burberry, and suit choice made her look like a flight attendant. She wore her jacket over her shoulders – a style she favours, often choosing not to put her arms through coats and jackets. Melania’s blouse could be seen under the jacket, and the red and gold pattern added a flash of colour to her otherwise simple attire.

Twitter went wild for the outfit, claiming it looked like Melania worked for an airline. One commenter wrote: “I thought she was one of the flight attendants.”

Another joked: “Nice to see @FLOTUS doubling up as an air hostess today.”

And another questioned: “Did Trump make Melania work as an air hostess to pay for her flight over here?”

A simple pencil skirt showed off her long model legs, which had a deep bronzed tan. The mum-of-one kept her eyes covered in a pair of oversized sunglasses.

On her feet, Melania donned a pair of Christian Louboutin court shoes, the red sole visible as she walked down the steps from the plane.

She wore her hair loose over her shoulders, leading to a windswept look as she battled the wind from the plane and waiting helicopter.

Melania’s outfit choice is a change from the one she was photographed in as she left Washington to make her way to the UK. Setting off on the journey from Washington DC, the pair could be seen at the White House, walking towards Air Force One.

Making a signal at their impending trip, with the First Lady opting for a London-themed dress. The garment is cream, and adorned with a green and orange pattern.

But, take a closer look and it’s clear that this dress makes a nod at the capital, having been emblazoned with prints of the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, and double-decker buses.

It is by Gucci and costs £4,400 – around £3,482. The dress itself had a blouse collar and quarter-length sleeves. It also featured gold buttons which had the Italian designer’s double-G design.

Melania paired the look with a chunky green belt. She also wore a pair of nude high heels.

Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump landed in London yesterday, spending this morning seeing the sights.

The First Daughter posted a picture to her Instagram account, and captioned the image with the British flag, tagging that she was standing outside the V&A museum, in South Kensington.

Posing with a friend in green, Ivanka wore a vibrant yellow dress from Les Reveries, £590.

She teamed this with a pair of bright blue court shoes.
