Galaxy S10 ALERT – Anger as Samsung fans suffer MAJOR issues with Android update

Samsung recently pushed out an update to its Galaxy S10 devices but users have reported major issues with the latest download.

The Android update was meant to improve the night mode for the Samsung Galaxy S10’s camera and also bring with it various other fixes.

But some Galaxy S10 owners that installed the Samsung update saw multiple issues crop up such as increased battery drain and devices freezing.

The Galaxy S10 patch also resulted in apps not responding and Samsung phones restarting without warning.

The offending update in question, XXU1ASE5, was released last week on the Galaxy S10 but this week was no longer available.

And Samsung fans who ended up downloading the Galaxy S10 patch before it was pulled were left voicing their frustration at the issues online.

In a post on Reddit one user wrote: “S10+ flashed may update, started suffering from freezes and lockups to the point where the phone restarts”.

Another posted: “Absolutely ridiculous that the QA let this through without testing thoroughly”.

One added: “Horrible update…the phone is nigh unusable”.

And another wrote: “Twitter is crashing and Nova launcher has some problems the phone overall has slowed down a bit. Do not update!”

SamMobile reported that the Galaxy S10 patch that was causing the issues was pulled on Tuesday.

They also revealed that a new Galaxy S10 update appeared in Switzerland the day after the troublesome patch was brought offline.

Switzerland is typically the first European country to receive Galaxy phone updates, and they got the initial release of the new XXU1ASE6 download.

It’s likely this is the start of a wider rollout, with the new patch hopefully fixing the issues some S10 users were experiencing.

In other Samsung news the South Korean tech giant has recently announced a partnership with Disney and Pixar.

This has led to the creation of wallpapers that cater to the circular hole punch offered by the S10e and S10 which are free to download right now.

Five backgrounds are offered in total and feature characters from The Incredibles, Frozen, Zootopia and one featuring Mickey Mouse.

Unfortunately, there are no wallpapers offered designed to fit the pill-shaped cutout of the S10+ or S10 5G.

In order to obtain the nifty backgrounds, owners should go to change their wallpaper as normal from the home screen.

From there you will see a section that highlights “cutout wallpapers for the S10”.

Next, a stream of backgrounds will appear, some of which are free and others that require a fee to download.

Discussing the free gift, Samsung said: “Samsung wallpapers are available to purchase on the Galaxy Store, and the special Disney collaboration range of wallpapers are downloadable free of charge for Galaxy S10 users.

Samsung plans to expand the options for Infinity-O background wallpapers further through various collaborations in the near future.”
