Epsom Derby 2019 style: Charlotte Hawkins, Ruth Langsford and Jodie Kidd dazzle at races

Epsom Derby Day’s second race day featured a host of dazzling summertime outfits from racegoers eager to impress. The horse racing festival runs over two days, with the second being Derby Day. While Ladies Day – a traditional staple date for fashionistas, was yesterday, celebrities and punters alike pulled out all the stops second time around. The Queen, 93, led the way in a pretty yellow and blue floral dress, covered by a matching powder blue jacket and hat.

ITV presenter Charlotte Hawkins, who was juggling business with pleasure in her role as ITV Racing commentator, looked gorgeous in a lemon yellow dress.

The bandeau neckline was hugely flattering, while the former Strictly star took care to match her fascinator to her gown.

Meanwhile, her fellow ITV daytime presenters, husband and wife Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, did not let the side down either.

Mum of one Ruth wore a pretty floral mesh dress, with stunning silver shoes and a metallic coloured fascinator.

Eamonn looked smart in a dapper black jacket, silver waistcoat and top hat, all accessorised with a beaming smile.

Model Jodie Kidd worked the smart casual trend to perfection, plumping for a smart white dress with a high collar and bow which accumulated her true waist.

She gave a nod to the summer temperatures with gold scrappy sandals, and made sure she couldn’t be missed with a hint pink fascinator.

Reality TV stars and loved-up power couple Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburg were also in attendance.

Former TOWIE babe Lucy also plumped for a floral crocket design, accentuated with ribbons of blue detailing around the body.

She chose a cream and blue fascinator and glittering earrings to finish off her cute, sophisticated look.

Meanwhile her other-half Ryan beamed as he stood proudly beside her.

Mixing tradition with modernity, he had a classic black jacket and top hat yet added a touch of his fun-filled character with a sky blue waistcoat and trendy jam-jar style sunglasses.

Mary Berry looked the epitome of summer in her floral dress as she arrived at the venue.

The celebrities were in good time to witness the Queen’s horse, Sextant, race later in the afternoon.

Express.co.uk reported how the UK’s longest-serving monarch beamed as she arrived at the race ground, with her fingers crossed no doubt for her horse.

Experts have revealed the stallion could be in with a chance of first place after its performances recently.
