Colson Smith, 20, seemed to be caught up in all the excitement for Love Island’s return to ITV2 next week as the soap star claimed he has aspirations of becoming a contestant. The Coronation Street favourite appeared on co-star Lucy Fallon’s Instagram Story in view of her 418,000 followers, as the pair got ready to attend the British Soap Awards. The pals posed for the camera as Colson showed off his dapper suit on the social media platform. He exclaimed: “Soap Awards 2019, hello!”, while adjusting his pocket square.
Lucy, 23, then took the opportunity to compliment Colson on his outfit, while encouraging the star to show off his accessories as she said: “Get that watch in.”
The pair then got onto the topic of Love Island, with Colson jokingly telling the camera: “Love Island, I’m coming for you!”
Lucy also caused quite a stir at the awards by making her own fashion statement in a low-cut gown.
The actress, who plays Bethany Platt, put on a glamorous display in a floor-length white dress.
The soap star highlighted her cleavage with a long silver necklace which hung towards her naval.
She paired the jewellery with a matching silver headband and wore her blonde tresses in a relaxed updo.
Before the ceremony began, Lucy took to Instagram to reveal she was “stressing” about the evening.
The beauty uploaded a short clip of herself staring into the distance with her manicured finger over her lips.
She captioned the post: “Pre soap awards stress.”
Brooke Vincent also joined her Coronation Street co-stars on the red carpet and showed off her baby bump in a shimmering golden gown.
The Sophie Webster star opted to reflect the glitz and glamour of the evening by wearing a sequin adorned dress with flowing sleeves.
Brooke is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Kean Bryan, 22, and shared her joy with photographers by smiling and cradling her growing bump.
She paired her metallic outfit with a pair of nude toned stilettos and eye-catching red nail polish.
The low-cut frock revealed the small-screen actress’ curves, while the loose fabric skimmed over her figure.
Before stepping out on the red carpet, Brooke snapped a photo at home to give her 797,000 Instagram followers a preview of her dress.
Wrapping her hands around her bump, the pregnant actress added the caption: “My Bump’s First Red Carpet… The British Soap Awards 2019! Let’s Go!! Go Corrie.”
