The competition will raise money for the pair’s foundation, which campaigns against human rights abuses around the world.
Announcing the raffle in video, Clooney said: “Hi, I’m Amal Clooney’s husband, George,and we’d like invite you to come with us to Lake Como.”
Turning to a director off camera,Oscar-winner Clooney, 58, added: “Are you sure that’s how you want me to say it?”
The director responded: “People really love Amal. That’s really the selling point here.”
Nodding, Clooney continued: “That’s right, to benefit the Clooney Foundation For Justice, we’re inviting you and a guest to go on a double date with Amal, a world-renowned human rights lawyer, law school professor and a leading thinker on the concept of justice throughout the world and me… an actor.”
The lucky winner and their guest will follow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who reportedly stayed with the Clooneys in Italy last summer.
The competition website says the winner will “share a toast with George and Amal at lunch, take a photo together and enjoy some of Italy’s finest prosecco, charcuterie and cheeses.”
They will be flown out to Italy and put up in a four-star hotel, before getting to know the glamorous couple “while soaking in stunning views of the lake and the Alps.”
