Harry Redknapp: Star reveals wife Sandra's 'not been well' and is 'seeing specialist'

Harry Redknapp, 72, was crowned champion of the ITV series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2018 and was later joined by his wife Sandra Harris in the Australian outback. Their relationship won the hearts of the nation and now the footballer manager has spoke about his wife’s health. Harry revealed his wife of 51 years has fallen ill again after her battle with sepsis last year. According to The Sun, Harry revealed at an AOL Build: “She hasn’t been particularly well. “We have been to a specialist in London. I have rung her eight times today just to see how she is.”

It comes after Harry revealed his wife had suffered from sepsis just before he ended the ITV show, almost causing him to pull out of the series.

Fortunately, Sandra pulled through and made the long journey to Australia to be reunited with her spouse.

Meanwhile, the jungle king recently revealed it was his grandchildren who helped him make the decision to take part in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “I’d never seen even one second of the programme.

“I had no intention of doing it, but my grandkids were like, ‘Oh go on Pop, please. Don’t be scared of Kiosk Kev, he won’t hurt you.’ I’m like, ‘Who is Kiosk Kev?’

“Sandra said, ‘They’re going to be so disappointed that you’re not going to do it.’”

Harry proved to be a firm favourite with guests after entertaining the public with stories about his relationship with his wife.

However, he recently spilled on the one show he will not be taking part in anytime in the near future.

The TV star said he was approached by BBC bosses to take part in Strictly Come Dancing but has declined to put on his dancing shoes after a one-day trial.

Speaking to The Mirror with his wife Sandra, he said: “The BBC bosses sent over a dancer to put me through my paces for a day, but it’s not for me.

“No chance. It’s a great show but I can’t dance to save my life, can I, Sandra?”

He added: “Even if [I’m a Celebrity’s] Fleur and Emily gave me some lessons, I’d still be hopeless.”

Elsewhere, the TV favourite has some exciting news to celebrate as he launched his brand new book, The World According To Harry, yesterday.

In view of his one million follower on Instagram, he captioned a post about his book: “And it’s launched. I hope you all enjoy it. Link in bio to order now.”

Fans commented on the good news, as one person wrote: “Can’t wait to get a copy of this…my favourite man in the world.”

Another person said: “Looking forward to the read.”
