After years of trying to start a family, the Friends final ever episode gave Monica (played by Courteney Cox) and Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) their first baby in emotional scenes.
They welcomed twins into the world after their surrogate Erica (Anna Faris) gave birth in the shocking twist.
The twins were unexpected and blessed Monica with two babies after trying for so many years to have even one baby.
However, one Reddit fan (i_Blastoise), who has been rewatching the show since it was placed on Netflix, has suggested the twins’ arrival was not actually that much of a surprise as it had been teased back in season one.
In season one, Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), his ex-wife Carol Willick (Jane Sibbett) and her new girlfriend Susan (Jessica Hecht) welcomed Ross and Carol’s son Ben into the world.
Monica found the scenes all too much as she was so desperate for her own family and her sadness was deepened when she saw another new mum with two babies.
She groaned: “No fair. I don’t even have one. How come they get two?”
Funnily enough, she gets the two babies she craved nine seasons later.
What’s more, after she says that to the gang, it is future baby dad Chandler who pipes up and says: “I’ll tell you what. If we’re 40 and neither of us are married, what do you say you and I get together and have one?”
He might have been joking at the time, but it turned out he did in fact get with Monica and have twins.
Other fans loved the spot on Reddit and reply with their thoughts.
One fan replied: “I just watched this episode the other day and knowing how the show ends makes this moment so perfect for me now. The writers would have had absolutely no idea that Monica and Chandler were going to end up together let alone with twins and yet it all comes a full circle so beautifully!”
Another fan added: “The Monica and Chandler relationship wasn’t even meant to last beyond mid-season five, but the audience liked it so much the showrunners went with it long-term.
So fans have themselves to thank for giving Monica and Chandler this full circle moment.
After Friends was uploaded onto Netflix, fans have really been dissecting the show after missing things first-time around.
Reddit user blessedandamess discovered a massive blunder in Chandler’s appearance between the season six finale, The One With The Proposal, and season seven opener, The One With Monica’s Thunder.
The user noticed that Chandler is sporting very different haircuts in the different episodes, even though they are intended to only be a day apart in time.
“The one where Chandler went from XL to M in one night. They couldn’t even give him the same haircut?” the Reddit user posted.
Meanwhile, in the episode The One With The Tea Leaves, Ross wears a grey T-shirt that includes a reference to friends in a different language.
The Reddit fan moodparkour has since revealed the sign means friends in sign language in a cute reference to the theme of the show.
