Andrea Pirlo reveals the TWO things Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri needs at Stamford Bridge

That’s according to Italy legend Andrea Pirlo who rates Sarri as a good coach.

Sarri’s future at Chelsea is in doubt despite a third-placed Premier League finish and a Europa League win.

Reports suggest Juventus are keen for him to replace Massimiliano Allegri, while plenty of Chelsea fans have voiced their disapproval of Sarri.

But Pirlo believes the former Napoli boss needs the support from the stands as well as time if he is to succeed.

“It’s not easy for him (Sarri),” Pirlo told the Daily Mail.

“He needs time to adapt the players to the new system.

“For me he is a very good coach. The supporters have to stay very calm.”

Sarri himself believes he deserves the chance to stay at Stamford Bridge.

“I need to talk to the club and make sure I know what I can do for Chelsea and what Chelsea can do for me,” he said.

“I love the Premier League and I’m lucky I’m at Chelsea but at the end of each season you have to sit down and talk.

“In my opinion, I deserve to stay at Chelsea but my opinion is not enough.

“I have a contract [for another two years]. At the moment, we are talking about nothing.

“I’m very happy, this trophy [Europa League] is very important for this club.

“We have earned them and we deserve it.

“We had problems in January and February, and in the Premier League it is not easy to react, but from the 6-0 against the City something changed and in the end we have qualified for the Champions [League] and we have achieved this title.”
