Niki Lauda funeral: Lewis Hamilton arrives to pay his respects

Lewis Hamilton was pictured at St Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna as he paid his respects to motor racing legend Niki Lauda.

The Austrian Formula One star, who won the championship in 1975, 1977 and 1984, died last week in Switzerland at the age of 70.

His coffin was carried into the the house of worship this morning with a red crash helmet placed on top, a nod to his past.

The current F1 champion wore a dark suit, sunglasses and a trilby hat to join Niki Lauda’s widow Birgit and her children Mia and Max at the funeral.
