Tesco, Asda, Lidl & Waitrose URGENT product recall as small pieces of GLASS found in food

Supermarket product recalls are issues when there is a problem with products posing a health risk to customers.

Tesco, Asda, Lidl, Waitrose and Morrisons are withdrawing a number of products of shelves.

This includes the likes of Waitrose pickled beetroot slices and Lidl hazelnut spread.

Have you recently bought any of these products?

Waitrose

Waitrose pickled beetroot slices recalled due to small pieces of glass.

Shoppers should return the product for a refund.

Lidl

HealthyCo Proteinella Hazelnut Creme contains hazelnuts, milk and almonds.

As the label on some products is not in English, some shoppers my not be aware of the risk.

Playtive Junior Wooden Elephant Gripper Toy

Customers should return versions of this product with the IAN code 304083 and model number HG04414 (version 11/2018).

Loose parts on this toy pose a choking hazard.

The following chocolate bars pose allergy risks not listed on the label:

Some of these products contain gluten not mentioned on the label. Avoid the 375g packs with the Best-before date: March 28, 2020

Morrisons

Free From Choc Chip Cookies

These 145g packs from Morrisons may contain milk or milk constituents and may pose a risk of people with allergies.

Check the Food Standards Agency website for more recalls.

Tesco

Apricot, Almond and Yogurt Bars, four x 35g

Salmonella may be present in two batches of this cereal bar.

Look out for bars with the batch codes 9100 and 9101.

Ryvita cereal was recalled after ’undeclared nuts’ in products posed a serious risk to allergy suffers.

The product in question is the Dorset Cereals Simply Oat Granola in the 550g pack size.

Look out for products with batch code 24 02 2020 GCP9116 and the best before date 24 February 2020.

The Jordans & Ryvita Company is recalling the product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The FSA site added: “The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.”
