Rambo 5 Last Blood TRAILER description REVEALED for Sylvester’s Stallone’s FINAL outing

It’s been 11 years since Stallone last played Vietnam veteran John Rambo. And the 72-year-old is back for Rambo 5 aka Rambo: Last Blood. While action fans haven’t been treated to the highly-anticipated first trailer yet, a lucky few were at the Cannes Film Festival. According to Movie Web, the first teaser showed an ageing Rambo preparing for one last fight.

While not much of the story was shown, the basic synopsis sees Stallone teaming up with a journalist to save a kidnapped girl from the Mexican cartel.

Apparently, Rambo 5 looks more like First Blood – “gritty, dark and just plain brutal” – compared to the grander in scale and over-the-top other sequels.

It’s currently unknown when Last Blood’s first trailer will air online.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “[The movie] finds him living in a ranch in Arizona, deeply troubled and wrestling with PTSD as he picks up casual work wherever he can.”

It adds: “When long-time family friend and estate manager Maria informs Rambo that her granddaughter has gone missing after crossing into Mexico for a party, he sets off with her to find the youngster.

“What ensues is a violent descent into hell as Rambo uncovers a sex-trafficking ring. He teams up with a journalist whose half-sister has also been kidnapped and must deploy all his skills to save the girls and bring down a vicious crime lord.”

Meanwhile, Stallone has been sharing set videos for Rambo 5.

The star even admitted he’d still been working on the script in-between shots.

During the Rambo presentation at Cannes, Stallone revealed that Dolph Lundgren “almost killed” him while shooting Rocky IV.

He told the shocked audience about one terrifying fight sequence with Lundgren: “He hit me so hard he almost stopped my heart.

“I told him, ‘Why don’t we just do it? Just try to knock me out. Really cut loose as hard as you can.’ That was a really stupid thing to say.

“Next thing I know, I’m on a low-altitude plane to the emergency room, and I’m in intensive care for four days. And there are all these nuns around.”

Rambo: Last Blood is released in UK cinemas on September 20, 2019.
