The tight-knit Outlander cast have been enjoying tantalising fans of the hit STARZ and Amazon Prime Video show with various nuggets of new information since they began filming the latest season.
There have been brand new set photos depicting red-headed Scot Jamie (played by Sam Heughan) in a sophisticated new look.
And viewers have even caught a glimpse of Brianna Randall Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger Wakefield MacKenzie’s (Richard Rankin)- although it could still be evil Stephen Bonnet’s (Ed Speleers) – new baby.
Now though, the actress who plays the 20th Century surgeon time traveller has teased her co-star and fans she wouldn’t be returning to the show.
And it was all down to the newest addition to the cast – beautiful and furry new feline pal Adso.
The British Shorthair kitten was introduced very recently as joining the cast, after the huge success of wolf Rollo to season four of the historical drama.
But while Scottish actor Sam has already been seen cuddling the cat, today it was Caitriona’s turn.
Posting an image of her in costume on her Twitter page, Caitriona could be seen nuzzling the little animal.
She captioned the image: “Nope. Not going back to work.
“@SamHeughan, you’ll have to play Jamie and Claire today!”
Outlander season five is expected to return to STARZ and Amazon Prime Video later this year.
