Carol Vorderman 2019: Lorraine presenter CRINGES with embarrassment ‘Put that down’

The former Countdown favourite, 58, was joined by Lorraine’s resident style guru Mark Heyes, 42, to talk about some accessories to improve the summer experience. One suggestion in particular, however, appeared to leave Carol Vorderman a little red-faced. “The must-have summery accessory,” Mark announced, holding up a small packet labelled “shoe condoms”. “Now, I’m going to call it—” he began, as Carol gasped: “No!”

Avoiding the word the presenter was clearly hoping to dodge, he continued: “The trainer protector.

“The kids are at home but there you go,” he chuckled, while Carol stuttered awkwardly.

“I thought they weren’t going to say that name,” she cringed, before begging Mark to hide the name of the product.

“Okay, put that down,” she urged.

“It’s a protector,” she explained to viewers, trying to get the segment back on track.

“It’s a protector to put over your trainers,” Mark added. “So, if you’re going to festivals things like that then you’re not going to get mud on them.

“I have got a major issue with this,” he admitted. “If you’ve got the trainer, wear the trainer. It’s like having beautiful sofa at home and keeping it covered in plastic.”

Clearly unimpressed by the concept, Carol agreed: “But also you’re meant to be cool at festivals, not to be thinking about, ‘Am I getting a little bit of mud on me?’ You’re meant to be rolling around in it.
